The Panafrican Investment Stokvel (PIS) is a Stokvel that seeks to challenge the African Narrative through collective development. PIS seeks to eliminate the concept that sustainability can be achieved through individualism.
PI S seeks to create a modern super Stokvel ( Stokvel of Stokvels) that resolves the challenges faced by other stokvels and community groups (Loan access, Secured banking access, Safety of members’ funds by putting mechanisms that protect theft of people’s money, easy access to insurance in the event of sickness, bail benefit, dead benefit etc..)
How We Achieve Our Objectives
We achieve our objectives through Group Investments Property + Education + Healthcare + Transport + Farming + Credit / Equity); Co operative Banking And Social Insurance
Co-operative Banking
We have as a long-term objective the creation of a Co-operative Bank that banks the unbanked across the African continent and beyond
Group Investment
We pull together Funds from members which are managed by an Executive and Investment Committee and used to acquire, preserve, maintain and increase it and distribute or otherwise use it for the welfare and best interest of the members and their stated beneficiaries as prescribed in the PIS Constitution.
Social Insurance Fund (SIF Fund)
The Social insurance fund is a fund created solely with the purpose of administrating benefits to members. It consists of 2 types of funds namely
• Sinking Fund which is used to administer Once-off Benefits to members and
• The Better Life Fund which is used to administer recurrent benefits to members
